Mr. Aaron Jerome Burt, 79, of Tallahatchie County, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the North Mississippi Medical Center – Tupelo. He was born December 27, 1939 in Charleston to George Benjamin Burt, Jr. and Grace Champion Burt. He had worked for many years at Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada and had honorably served our country in the US Navy. Aaron attended the Church of God and was an accomplished musician sharing his love for music and the Lord with people all over our area.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 20, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Lonnie Hill officiating. Judy Cote and Julie Ferguson will deliver eulogies. Interment will follow in the Pearidge Cemetery in Grenada County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include one sister, Judy Cote of Nashville, TN and three brothers, Jimmy Burt of Winfield, AL, Jerry Burt of Biloxi and Dale Burt of Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred Sullivan Burt; and an infant son, Aaron Jerome Burt, Jr.
