Mrs. Agnes Elizabeth Simmons, 89, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence.  She was born July 1, 1931 in Calhoun County to Hughey and Minnie Moore Simmons.  Mrs. Simmons had spent most of her working life at Pennaco Hosiery and later in life worked at Shaw's Wholesale Meats in Grenada.  She had also worked as a private sitter at Grenada Lake Medical Center.  Agnes was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Bethel Cemetery in Calhoun County with Revs. Eugene Heimbach and J. Barry Worrell officiating.

Survivors include two sons, Rusty Simmons and Richard Simmons, both of Grenada; eight grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Simmons; three sons, Jimmy, Barry and Bobby Simmons; and two brothers, Troy and Howard Simmons.
