Mrs. Alice Floyd, 92, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at  Grenada Living Center. She was born June 6, 1928 in Lexington, Mississippi to Millard H. and Annie E. King Whitten.  She was employed at Grenada Hosiery Mill for many years and in later life provided day-care for many children. Alice was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada and worked in the Nursery.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM  at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in Grenada Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one daughter Kim Taylor of Grenada, two sons Randy Floyd (Irene) of Gore Springs and Don Floyd (Mary Ann) of Fort Myers, FL., two grandchildren; Drake McCammon and Graham Floyd; and two great-grandchildren Kairi McCammon and Grayson Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert Lee Floyd, Sr., one son Gilbert Lee "Skip" Floyd, Jr., her siblings Burnice Whitten, Paul Whitten, Jay Whitten and George Whitten and Sisters Alberta Campbell and Maggie Mott.
