On December 9, 2019, our Daddy, Alonzo Lamar Horne, Jr., died peacefully at his home. Lonzo was born to Alonzo and Sarah Gussie Payne Horne in Lexington on September 22, 1947. He was a retired general contractor and a Deacon at Friendship Baptist Church.  He was also a ten year cancer survivor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Guy Hughes, Rev. Tim McCaffrey, Rev. Trent Jaudon and Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating. Interment will follow in the Wayside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Wednesday at the church.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane Kerr Horne and his two daughters, Audrey (Daniel) Beach of Grenada and Ashley (Shea) Staten of Hernando. He was Papa to Alaina and Nathan Beach and Izzy and soon-to-be baby girl Staten. He was a brother to Jimmy (Nona) Horne of Sallis and Ricky (Sandra) Horne of Madison.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a newborn daughter, Tara.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Beach, Tyler Dulin, Tim Edwards, Donnie Hodges, Paul Jones, Garrett Pollan, Kevin Tribble and Bobby White.
