Mrs. Alverta Rita Breaux Daigneault, 102, of Grenada, and a longtime resident of Ama, LA, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Providence Assisted Living in Grenada.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 17, 2026 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Ama, LA. Entombment will follow in the St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Cemetery in Raceland, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada, MS and one hour prior to the service Thursday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Ama, LA.

Local survivors include her son, Dr. David Daigneault and his wife, Gail.
