Mr. Alvin Cleo Ross, 70, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 24, 1947 in Tallahatchie County to Jim Dave and Sarah Lee Tilghman Ross. He had worked for many years as a mechanic and was an avid coon hunter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Zion Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. William Tribble, Rev. Jesse Strider and Dr. Brian Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross family plot at the Smith Cemetery in the Rosebloom Community of Tallahatchie County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday all at Zion Grove Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Ross; one daughter, Lee Ann Ross Allen and her husband, Michael, of Grenada; one son, Mike Ross and his wife, Marsha, of Grenada; three sisters, Nancy Bratton of Olive Branch, Leona "Sissy" Pierce of Grenada and Ellen Keene of Grenada; five brothers, Melvin Ross, Jimmy Ross, Charlie Ross, Steve Ross and Wesley Ross all of Grenada; nine grandchildren, Kayla Golden, Megan Moss, Haley Taylor, Laken Hoop, Cesley Ross, Nelson Allen, Jonathan Hoop, Brandon Smith and Katelyn Ross; and three great-grandchildren, Alley Blake, Marley Hayse and Ryals Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Douglas Ross.

Pallbearers will be Nelson Allen, Jonathan Hoop, Eddie Moorman, David Ross, Brandon Smith and Chris Whitten.
