Houston-Ann Catherine Semmes Landrum, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, teacher, and friend, passed away at the age of 77 on September 10, 2025, at Diversicare in Amory, Mississippi. Ann was born September 8, 1948, in Grenada, Mississippi to Raphael and Mary Evelyn "Cissye" Semmes. She graduated from John Rundle High School in Grenada before attending the University of Mississippi where she earned her degree in education and was a proud member of Chi Omega sorority. Ann devoted most of her life to teaching, beginning her career on the Mississippi Gulf Coast before teaching in the Grenada and Houston school systems. She was a gifted educator whose warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on her students. In addition to her teaching career, Ann worked for a time with her father at his real estate and insurance business in Grenada. Ann was also involved in community activities in Grenada and Houston. In 1975, she married Ronald Landrum of Eupora, Mississippi and they lived in Caderetta and Grenada before settling in Houston where they raised their children and became active members of the community.

Ann's faith was central to her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Houston where she sang in the choir and invested her time and talents. Her love of fellowship was evident in the lifelong friendships she nurtured, especially with her bridge club girls who brought her much joy and laughter.

Ann's greatest love was her family. She is survived by her husband Ronald, her children: Ronald Pryor (Michelle) Landrum Jr, Catherine Landrum (Caleb) Tillman, and her six precious grandchildren: Jennings Tillman, Semmes Tillman, Leith Tillman, Emma Landrum, Addison Landrum, and Tripp Landrum. She also leaves her sister Mary Semmes (Carl) Lancaster of Olive Branch, her brother Raphael Semmes of Jackson, and nephews Andrew (Estelle) Lancaster and William (Kayla) Lancaster.

Ann will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her beautiful smile, her steadfast faith, and the many lives she touched with her kindness.

A special thank you to those that helped take such good care of Ann during her illness: Marie May, Christy Lann, Cassie Woods, Caitlin Hawkins, Carrie Keller, and the staff of Diversicare.
