It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Patricia Ann Terry, age 76, of Oakland, who departed this life on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford.
Born on February 5, 1950, in Wynne, Arkansas, to the late Bob and Virginia Strange Baxter, Ann was a woman whose presence brightened the lives of everyone she knew. Throughout her life, she was known for her dedication and kindness, having built a respected career in the banking industry at Simmons Bank in Gould, Arkansas, and later at Regions Bank in Grenada.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ann found her truest joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. She had a gentle spirit and a special talent for cultivating stunning flowers, finding peace and happiness while tending to her yard. Her home was a reflection of her nurturing heart, but it was her family that remained her greatest pride and deepest devotion. Ann’s legacy is one of unwavering love and commitment to those who meant the most to her. She was the cornerstone of her family, and her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Though she is gone from our sight, the warmth of her memory will remain with us always.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Holcomb Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Randy Terry; daughter, Brandy Ward(Doug) of Holcomb; sons, Jesse Venable(Ginger) of Evening Shade, AR, Travis Venable(Lori) of Joplin, MO and Justin Terry of Southaven; sisters, Kathy Little of Holcomb and Betty Taylor of Cascilla; brothers, Bob Baxter of Dumas, AR, Dick Baxter of Dumas, AR, Sidney Baxter of Magee, AR, Tuffy Baxter of Dumas, AR and Henry Baxter of Hamburg, AR; grandchildren, Julie Venable, Ashley Venable, Gemma Venable, Taylor Venable, Atlee Venable, Peyton Clardy and Triston Jones; and great-grandchildren, Sutton, Hayden and Tatum.
