Miss Anna-Grace Rogers, 24, of Gore Springs, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Panola County. She was born August 25, 1998 in Grenada to Johnny and Angel Rice Rogers. Anna-Grace was a graduate of Grenada High School and Holmes Community College. Anna-Grace was a standout softball player from an early age and continued on to play with Grenada High, where she built so many friendships. She was currently enrolled in the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Program at Mississippi State University with hopes of becoming a veterinarian. Anna-Grace immensely enjoyed her job as a Vet Tech at Veterinary Associates in Grenada, where she was deeply loved by both the animals and those she worked with. Anna-Grace also currently worked at the Kennel Club in both Grenada and Batesville for many years where she developed long lasting friendships with her coworkers and her customers. Anna-Grace possessed a larger-than-life presence in any room she entered. She was such a sweet soul and everyone she met was drawn to her magnetic personality and unforgettable smile. She will be missed for many years to come by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Anna-Grace's 25th birthday at 11:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church with Dr. Joey Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Gore Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Friday at Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Angel Rice Rogers(Lamine Khima) of Gore Springs; father, Johnny Rogers of Blue Springs; brother, Tripp Rogers(Leigh Ellen) of Gore Springs; grandparents, Wade and Dot Rice of Elliott and Yvonne Rogers of Grenada; aunts, Sandi Woods of Grenada and Tammy Huddleston(Garth) of Duck Hill; uncles, Steve Rice(Michelle) of Gore Springs, Mike Rice(Kim) of Duck Hill, Scott Rogers(Johnna) of Grenada and Scott Woods of Grenada; a host of cousins and friends that she loved like family and her two beloved dogs, Callie and Chi-Chi.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Johnny Rogers and great-grandmother, Stella McNeal; great-uncle, Randy Rice and her faithful Pomeranian companion, Tucker.
