Annie Laura Blaylock Hicks, 87, of Grenada, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born February 10, 1929 in Montgomery County to Rude Earl and Laura Meaders Blaylock.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Larry Brinker officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Ann Cooper (Richard) of Grenada and Jean Bush of Laurel; two sons, Russell Ernest Hicks of Radcliff, KY and Donald Ray Hicks (Kara) of Kettering, OH; four granddaughters, six grandsons, 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Blaylock, Kenneth Blaylock, Ronnie Blaylock, Jimmy Hood, Ernest Smith, Donnie Snell, Ronnie Snell and Thomas Snell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Blaylock, Allen Bush, Brandon Bush, Danny Cooper, Cody Horne, Sonny Horne, Brian Kaack, C.J. Montgomery, Steve Morgan and Charles Snell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Hicks; three sisters, six brothers; one grandchild and one son-in-law.
