Mr. Arnold Stanford (known as Pop by many) died peacefully in his sleep at his home on September 3, 2020, at the age of 85.  Born in Detroit, AL on October 8, 1934 to Ferman and Lennie Stanford.  Arnold graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson and was the owner of several Sunflower grocery stores.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grenada.

Arnold was laid to rest alongside his wife, Jane at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada.  Mr. Stanford's family held a private service to celebrate his life.

He is survived by his children, Richard Arnold Stanford, Sharon Stanford Logan (her husband, Ricky Logan), Dr. James Keith Stanford (his wife, Cindy Stanford), Marvin Reid Stanford (his wife, Tracie Stanford), Connie Stanford Hollis (her husband, Danny Hollis), Irene Stanford Mendonca (her husband, George Mendonca), Kevin Cole Stanford; many foster children; a sister, Shirley Cassidy; two sisters-in-law, Margaret and Lana Perry; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arnold was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Jane Perkins Stanford; his brothers, Leon Stanford, Jerry and Doug Perry; and a sister, Charlene Busby.
