Mrs. Barbara Williams Asbury, 77, of Melbourne, AR, formerly of Grenada, passed away Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  She was born June 7, 1943 in Grenada to James "Shorty" and Eva J. Burt Williams.  Barbara worked for many years at the Welfare Department and most recently worked as a secretary at CSMS #2 at the Camp McCain Military Training Center near Grenada.  She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Joey Faulk officiating.

Survivors include a son, Michael Asbury(Ginger) of Gore Springs; two sisters, Judy McRee and Pat Richardson, both of Gore Springs; and three grandchildren, William Asbury of Calhoun City, Terri Nicole Bell of Grenada and James Allen Bell of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Danny Asbury.
