Mrs. Barbara Hodges Moss, 75, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024.  She was born October 10, 1948, in Grenada to Albert Russell and Blanche Carpenter Hodges.  Barbara spent several years in the Grenada Banking System and continued as it became Sunburst and Union Planters.  Later, she joined the staff at Entergy and worked there until her retirement.  Barbara was a skilled seamstress, a wonderful cook, and a devoted homemaker.  Her warm and kind nature made her a joy to be around; her family was always her top priority.  Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her passing is a great loss to all who knew her.  Barbara was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2024, at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service.  A graveside service will immediately follow visitation at the Grenada Memorial Garden with Rev. Eugene Heimbach officiating.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Brooks Moss; two sons, Brandon Moss(Kelly) of Baldwyn and Barry Moss(Brandy) of Batesville; sister, Donna Johnson of Flora; and four grandchildren, Taylor Brooke Moss, Hayley Moss, Brody Pee and Maddie Ruth Moss.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jean Crouch.

Keith Bloodworth, Seth Davidson, Donald Johnson, Scott Moss, Logan McDaniel, Hugh Taylor and Bobby White will honor Barbara by serving as pallbearers and carry her to rest in the Grenada Memorial Garden.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
