Obituary

Mr. Ben S. Liles, Jr., 73, of Coffeeville, passed away after his second battle with cancer on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at his residence with his daughter and grandsons at his side.  He was born on February 21, 1949 in Coffeeville to the late Ben S. Liles, Sr. and Mary Grace Gore Liles.  Ben was a devoted father and grandfather who took great pride in his daughter and grandsons.  Ben was a devoted Deacon and member of First Baptist Church in Coffeeville.  Ben was always sharing his testimony/story with anyone he met from one end of the United States to the other.  Ben also loved to work on small engines and could listen to a mower, tell you what was wrong with it and fix it in no time.  He loved to do this in his spare time and would do this without charge.  Ben was also a devoted husband and caregiver to his late wife Sara Liles.  He took excellent care of her until her death.  Ben was a pancreatic cancer survivor and did well until his diagnosis with cancer in April, 2021.  Ben was known by multiple family and friends as "Boy" which is a name given to him by his late Aunt Fronnie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at First Baptist Church – Coffeeville with Rev. Craig Baker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Tuesday at the church.
