Mr. Benny Aaron Hicks, 73, of Grenada, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Desoto in Southaven.  He was born November 10, 1947 in Crowder to Virgil Leon and Etta Virginia Edwards Hicks.  Benny had enjoyed a career spanning over 30 years in the Engineering Department at Luvata in Grenada.  He was a member of the Grenada Church of God.  Benny honorably served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was an avid golfer and a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Smith Cemetery in the Rosebloom Community of Tallahatchie County.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Alice Tilghman Hicks; two sons, Bradley Hicks(Wendy) of Senatobia and Randall Hicks(Leigh) of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Rose Pilkington(Earl) of Mayo, FL; one brother, James Hicks(Vickie) of Pope; and four grandchildren, Piercen Hicks, Emry Hicks, Corbin Hicks and McKenzie Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Glenn Shannon Hicks and a brother, Larry Hicks.

Memorials may be directed to the Grenada Church of God or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
