IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bernette
Fielder
September 7, 1935 – April 1, 2020
After serving as a Pastor in Mississippi Southern Baptist Churches for over 56 years, The Rev. Bernette Fielder, 84, of Gore Springs heard the words "Well done, good and faithful servant", as he transitioned to Heaven from his home with his family by his side on the morning of Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Bernette was born September 7, 1935 in Kilmichael the youngest of seven children to Rufus Allen and Lela Mae Greenlee Fielder. Rev. Fielder attended Clarke College and Mississippi College and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In his retirement years, he enjoyed woodworking and was a devoted animal lover. Rev. Fielder's jovial disposition and quick wit will long be remembered, but most of all, we will hold dear the love he had for his Savior.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Gore Springs with Rev. Franklin Dunn officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jeanette Blount Fielder; two daughters, Cindy Stanford(Jeff) of Brandon and Jennifer Williams(Mike) of Grenada; one son, Mark Fielder(Anna) of Gore Springs; two granddaughters, Liz Blair(Owen) of Grenada and Hope Vancil of Madison; and three great-grandchildren, Grace Blair, Sydney Vancil and Parker Vancil.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Chloe Fielder and five brothers, Allen, Samuel, Jasper, Edsel and Daniel Fielder.
