Mrs. Bernice Pearl Lowery Jackson, 90, of Tillatoba, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada surrounded by her family. She was born March 19, 1926 to Bernie Allen and Ada Pearl Manning Lowery. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Grenada Church of God.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Grenada Church of God with Rev. James McElroy and Rev. Josh Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Elam Cemetery near Coffeeville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Grubbs of Grenada, Myra Dempsey of Tillatoba and Freddie Gray of Tillatoba; two sons, Johnny Jackson and Daniel Jackson, both of Tillatoba; one sister, Ann Snavely of Ft. Collins, CO; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Jackson and two daughters, Mary Jackson and Nancy Carol Jackson Redwine.
Pallbearers will be Fred Jackson, Merle Jackson, Tim Jackson, Benji Redwine, Tommy Ross and Steve Ware.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Grenada Church of God.
