Bethany Cook Jones, 42, a native of Grenada, MS, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence in Bennington, NE.  She was born December 2, 1980, to Phillip and Daphene Felker Cook.

Growing up with three brothers, Bethany learned at a very young age how to survive in a house full of boys.  She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate.  She knew how to fight for what she wanted, how to give and demand respect and, most of all, the importance of family.  In motherhood, Bethany passed along these same life-lessons and qualities gained from her upbringing, teaching her boys how to respect others, how to love and enjoy each other, and how to pray.  Her legacy of character and faith will live on through them.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband and love of her life, Mark Jones; three sons, Cade Jones, Cameron Jones and Cullin Jones, all of Bennington, NE; her father, Phillip Cook(Lydia) of Grenada, MS; three brothers, Jeremy Cook of Dresden, Germany; Joshua Cook of Mobile, AL; and Jonathan Cook of St. Louis, MO; and a host of dearly loved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Daphene Felker Cook; and grandparents, Bobby and Peggy Cook of Big Creek, MS, and Charles and Sissy Felker of Grenada, MS.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Bethany's life at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church Ministry Center located at 4461 Commerce Street, Grenada, MS 38901.
