Mrs. Betsy Ann Smith Speir, 96, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Memphis.  She was born February 2, 1924 in Memphis to David and Mildred Murray Smith.  Betsy was a graduate of the Mississippi University for Women.  Mrs. Speir spent most of her working life as a Social Worker with the Mississippi Department of Human Services.  She was a member of First Baptist Church – Grenada.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, December 14, 2020 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Wilde and her husband, Tony of Germantown, TN and a grandson, Alexander John Wilde also of Germantown, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack Speir.
