Mrs. Bettie Faye Aven Simpson Putman, 90, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Providence Assisted Living.  She was born June 11, 1935 in Holcomb to Walter and Stella Howard Aven.  Bettie was a devoted homemaker who loved keeping her home in immaculate condition.  She enjoyed canning vegetables in the summertime and was a voracious reader.  She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Grenada Memorial Garden with Rev. J. Barry Worrell officiating.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Becky Smith of Olive Branch and Debbie Bagwell of Eupora;step-son, David Putman(Bettye) of Duck Hill and host of other beloved family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Gilbert Simpson and E.A. Putman.
