Betty was a devout Christian and a member of Shiloh Cowboy Church and First Baptist Church – Coffeeville. She was a school bus driver for the Coffeeville School District for 25 years. She loved her job and the children who rode her bus. She loved her precious Pug, Wrinkles. Betty was known to take care of anybody's children. She loved them and her nieces and nephews as if they were own. She showed kindness and unconditional love for everyone. While her death leaves an emptiness in so many hearts, the family is at peace in knowing that she has seen the face of Jesus. She is free from illness and suffering and she has joined her loved ones who have gone before her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Shiloh Cowboy Church with her nephew, Bro. Ron Sessum, Bro. Truman Scarborough and her son-in-law, Bro. Larry Schmitz officiating. Private burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at the church. Due to current conditions, no more than 10 visitors will be allowed inside the church at once.
