Mrs. Betty Smith, 86, of Cascilla, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at her residence.  She was born November 26, 1936 in Marks to Winston Thomas and Dorothy Brooks Caffey.  Betty was a faithful member of Cascilla Baptist Church and had worked for many years as a Social Worker at Grenada Living Center.  Betty will long be remembered as a devoted wife and mother and a loyal friend.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Bunch officiating.  Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her husband, Willard Earl Smith; two sons, Michael Joseph Lukacs of Courtland and Gregory Stephen Lukacs of Cascilla; two step-daughters, Darlene King and Jeannie Morris, both of Cascilla; step-son, Richard Earl Smith of Cascilla; three grandchildren, Magen Marie Grimes, Casey Logan Lukacs and Olivia Madison Smith and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Buddy Caffey.
