Betty Jane Whitten Smith, 77, of Scobey, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born January 14, 1945 in Grenada to Malcolm and Gertrude Bratton Whitten. Betty worked for 39 years in the Grenada School District.  Betty loved the Lord and was an active member of Hardy Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  She loved and adored her family and will be remembered as a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 8, 2022 at McKibben& Guinn Funeral Service.  Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery in Rosebloom. The family will receive friends from noon on Friday until service time at McKibben & Guinn.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Jones(Tony) of Grenada; son, Randy Smith(Suzanne) of Grenada; two granddaughters, Kaylan Felker and Karly Hardin; and two great-grandchildren, Brady Hardin and Leah Felker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, B.W. Smith, Jr.; sister, Patsy Smith; and five brothers, Bobby, Billy, Ray, Roger and Jerry Whitten.
