Obituary

Mrs. Billie Jean Havens McCormick, 85, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her son's residence. She was born January 4, 1933 in Calhoun County to Jesse Lamar and Marie Parker Havens. She had worked for many years in the Grenada County area as a Registered Nurse and was a member of Elliott Baptist Church. One of Mrs. McCormick's greatest joys was found in traveling all over the world where she made many wonderful memories.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Elliott Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Brinker officiating. Interment will follow in the Elliott Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the church.

Survivors include three daughters, Lorie Blakely (Donnie) of Grenada, Lesa Yeats (Ray) of Nevada and Carol Breland of Grenada; two sons, David McCormick (Peggy) of Tennessee and Andrew McCormick (Vanetta) of Duck Hill; twelve grandchildren, Steven Blakely, Jessica Greer, Jeremy McCormick, Shana Lee, Daniel McCormick, Anita McCormick, Sandra Chaney, Savannah McCormick, Justin Breland, Brooks Breland, Candice Hays and Erin Rocha; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold McCormick and two grandsons, Jesse and Jason McCormick.
