Mr. Billy Harold Gordon, 78, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at his residence. He was born August 21, 1947 in West Point to Ola Mae Gordon. He spent his childhood in Isola, MS where he attended school and assisted his grandfather farming. The family moved to Grenada when he was a teenager. He married Nan Benning on January 19, 1968 and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Billy accepted Christ as his personal Savior in January of 1968, prior to their marriage. He assisted with the planting of Temple Baptist Church in 1980 and remained a member there until his death. Billy always had a strong work ethic. He went into business for himself in 1978, purchasing an automotive garage and continued in that business until his health forced retirement in 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Blake Henson and Rev. Charles Provine officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery near Bruce. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Nan Gordon; daughters, Ramona Gordon and Renee Davis; grandsons, James Harold Gordon and Zach Manscoe; granddaughter, Amanda Wiltshire; great-granddaughters, McKayla Bailey, Maggie Knight, Macey Gordon, Kaylyn & Olivia Wiltshire and Sophia Manscoe; and two brothers, Randall Gordon and Gene Ruth.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include John Fly, Randall Gordon, Gene Ruth, Jason Timbs, Justin Timbs and David Vick.
