Mr. Billy Lee Lane, 72, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1947 in Grenada to Henry and Verna Hollingsworth Lane. Billy was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a retired salesman and truck driver. He was an avid gardener and will be remembered for his remarkable ability in growing tomatoes. Billy was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2019 at Providence Baptist Church with Dr. Joey Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Monday at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Juanita Lane; one daughter Dawn Holsenback(Ron) of Madison; one son, Hank Lane(Lynn) of Grenada; one sister, Peggy Tillman of Grenada; one brother, Purvis Lane of Grenada; and seven grandchildren, Ashley Holsenback, Dillon Lane, Houston Holsenback, Katelyn Lane, Colton Lane, Anna Grace Lane and Molly Lane.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Houston Holsenback, Ron Holsenback, Colton Lane, Dillon Lane, Terry Lane, Michael Tillman and Chris Wells.

Memorials may be directed to the Providence Baptist Church Building Fund.
