IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy Fred
Little
February 1, 1931 – November 10, 2019
Mr. Billy Fred Little, Sr., passed away peacefully on November 10, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born February 1, 1931 in the Oxberry community to Freddie and Orie Little. He was the sixth child of the eleven raised. He served as a Sergeant in the Korean War in what is known as the Dixie Division. He met the love of his life, Etoyle Higginbotham, June 10, 1951 and they married August 3 of that year. "He said I saw what I liked, and I hung on to it." Together, they raised four children, Billy Fred Little, Jr.(Sherry) of Senatobia, Debra Rivers of Olive Branch, Sandra Lucchesi(Ron) of Memphis and Bobby Little of Ridgeland. He loved his children, but loved them more when they gave him grandchildren. His #1 saying was, "If I had known grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first." They loved him just as much. His grandchildren are Josh Couch of Memphis, TN, Katie Couch of McKinleyville, CA, Beth Moore of Senatobia, Kyle Little(Anna) of Madison and Patrick Rivers of Memphis, TN. He also has six great-grandchildren, Zoie Couch, Wesley Moore, Maddox Couch, Fenton Little, Lydia Little and Luke Little.
He had a great work ethic and finally retired from driving a semi-truck for Thomas Wood Preserving at the age of 81. He and Etoyle were faithful and devoted members of the Grenada Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Tully Little, Buddy Little, Dude Little, Doc Little, Cebo Little and Wayne Little; two sisters, Margie (Dee) Hancock and Florence Ratliff.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Etoyle; four children, five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as two sisters, Mahaley Hames of Oakland and Lou Whatley of Grenada. Mr. Little is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
