Mr. Billy England Simmons, 84, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born April 20, 1935 in Calhoun County. Billy worked most of his life in the maintenance department at Randall Textron in Grenada. He was a US Army veteran and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Wednesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Patsy Carter Simmons; four daughters, Billie Lynn Jones of Grenada, Kathy Cleveland(Butch) of Baskin, LA, Linda Brunson of Grenada and Paula Simmons of Grenada; one sister, Frankie Applewhite of McCall Creek, MS; seven grandchildren, B.J. Jones, John Jones, Curtis Rose, Richard Cleveland, Lauren Rogers, Brittany Brunson and Carter Aven; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Stanley Howell; daughter, Patricia Aven; sister, Kathryn Magee and brother, Jerry Howell.
