Mrs. Bobbie Lou Davis Heath, a resident of the Jefferson Community in Carroll County, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at her home. She was born October 21, 1943 and lived most of her life in the Jefferson Community in Carroll County, Mississippi. She graduated from J.Z. George High School in May of 1962. She received an AA degree from Holmes Community College and was a licensed cosmetologist. She retired from the Department of Human Services as a supervisor of the Child Support Unit. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grenada. She loved all of her family, friends and church family dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 8, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Larry Windham and Rev. John Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday evening and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Bruce Ray Heath; daughter, Lou Ann Heath Woodward and husband, Jon of Madison; son, Holland Ray Heath and wife Michelle of Carrollton; seven grandchildren, Julianna Woodward, Laura Leigh Woodward, Olivia Woodward, Jack Woodward, Caroline Heath, Savannah Heath and Jefferson Heath; two sisters, Mary Lou DuBard and husband J.T. of Carrollton and Ann Sellers of Madison; one brother, Edward Shaw Tharp and wife, Betty Lou of Carrollton as well as many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Loyd Wolfe.
Pallbearers will be David Brown, Ronnie DeLoach, Ronald Edwards, Stacy Hester, David Sellers, Jr. and Randy Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be J.T. DuBard and Mike Mabry.
