Mr. Bobby Eugene Bailey, Sr., 84, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born March 29, 1937 in Leflore to George Robert and Oweda Thompson Bailey. Mr. Bailey owned and operated W.E. Jackson Printing and Office Supply in Grenada for over 30 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Grenada for over 60 years where he faithfully served as Treasurer. Bobby also honorably served in the Mississippi Army National Guard. While gardening, hunting and fishing were among his many hobbies, he could always be found supporting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in any activity that they were involved in.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 11, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. Interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Gale Bailey; two daughters, Vivian Craig(Kevin) of Grenada and Laura McCain(Cliff) of Oxford; two sons, Bob E. Bailey, Jr.(Sheila) and George Bailey(Kellye), both of Grenada; two sisters, Dorothy Moore of Leflore and Lallie Fly of Holcomb; one brother, John Robert Bailey of Grenada; 12 grandchildren, Trey Bailey, Andy Bailey, Betsey Bailey, Amanda Gunn, Bailey Welch, Vance Welch, Hunter Craig, Haley Middlebrook, Jack Thomas Willis, Hannah Wilson, Rob Houston Bailey and Holland Bailey; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cathron Neal and two brothers, Leroy Bailey and James Bailey.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Andy Bailey, Holland Bailey, Rob Houston Bailey, Trey Bailey, Hunter Craig, Bailey Welch, Vance Welch and Jack Willis.
Memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church in Grenada.
