Mr. Bobby Dean Carpenter, 72, of Grenada, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his son's residence.  He was born September 21, 1948 in Grenada to Abner Lee (Shorty) and Lura Foster Carpenter.  He worked in the case out department at Modine Commercial Coil in Grenada for over 52 years.  Bobby was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and spend countless hours boating on Grenada Lake.  He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his daughter, Memory Jones-Woerner(Greg) of Ft. Worth, TX; son, Derek Carpenter of Grenada; sister, Nancy Dempsey(Brice) of Louisville; brother, Jerry Carpenter of Bruce; grandson, Declan Alan Jones of Ft. Worth, TX; and the mother of his children, Bobbie "BoJo" Mitchell of Kosciusko.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra McSheffrey.
