Mr. Bobby Clifton Hollis, Sr., 85, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  He was born April 11, 1939 in Leland to C.L. and Bertha Lou Foster Hollis.  A self-employed contractor, Bobby was a retired painter and drywall specialist.  He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.  Bobby enjoyed deer hunting and watching NASCAR.  He will be remembered as a loving grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family at every opportunity.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Clifton "JR" Hollis, Jr. and Alfred Jackson Hollis, both of Grenada; sister, Ruby Belk of Houston; brother, Donnie Joe Hollis of Grenada; five grandchildren, Shae Bishop(Dean), Casey Hollis, Jason Smitherman(Rachel), Ryan Hollis and Corissa Smitherman(Connor); six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Hollis is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy Hollis; daughter, Peggy Smitherman; son-in-law, Louis Smitherman and four brothers, James Olen, F.J., John David and Charles Edward Hollis.

Tristan Austin, Danny Brown, Ricky Edwards, Jeff Flake, Gene Foster, Randy Harrell and Larry Ralston will honor Mr. Hollis by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the Hebron Cemetery.
