Mr. Robert Harold "Bobby" Ross, 68, of Oakland, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his residence.  He was born December 2, 1953 in Memphis to Robert Milton and Audrey Hudson Ross.  Bobby earned a degree in Physical Education from Mississippi State University and also served in the Mississippi Army National Guard.  His early years were spent farming and he later became a teacher and coach.  He also was a Graduate Assistant at Northwest Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University.  Coach Ross was a member of the faculty of Oak Hill Academy in West Point before joining the faculty of the Northwest Rankin School District where he worked until retirement.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and was a sports fanatic.  He was a devoted supporter of Mississippi State Athletics and a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Oakland United Methodist Church with Rev. Clay Baker officiating. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Audrey Ross of Oakland; two sons, Brett Ross and his wife, Andrea of Como and Bradley Ross of Batesville; one daughter, Emily Fuller and her husband, Easton of Auburn, AL; one brother, Paul Ross(Teresa) of Grenada and four grandchildren, Tyler Ross, Evan Ross, Landon Ross and Stella Fuller.

He was preceded in death by his father.
