Brenda Lee Sockwell Holland, 63, of Calhoun City, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 5, 1956 in Lufkin, TX to R.C. and Emma Lois Walker Sockwell. She had worked for a number of years in the Calhoun County School District as a Teacher's Assistant and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Bethel Cemetery in Calhoun County with Rev. Jim Vance officiating.

Survivors include one daughter, Jordan Holland(Shane Webster) of Woodland; one son, Drew Holland(Stephanie) of Holcomb; four sisters, Rita Shaw of Norman, OK, Raefell Duenow of Moore, OK, Michelle Silvas of Virginia Beach, VA and Leslie Sickler of Edmond, OK; four brothers, Cecil Sockwell of McCloud, OK, Arthur Sockwell of Bethany, OK, Billy Sockwell of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jerry Sockwell of Houston, TX; and three grandchildren, Sarah Bowers, Jaxon Holland and Karmyn Grace Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Tonya Vannoy.
