Mr. Calvin Joseph Scheafer, 57, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Region One Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis. He was born April 7, 1963 in Grenada to John Robert, Sr. and Eva Collins Scheafer. Calvin owned and operated Scheafer Amusement for many years and attended the Rosebloom Church of the Nazarene. Calvin had served as President of the Pine Lake Lodge and was an avid fisherman. Never at a loss for words, Calvin was an excellent conversationalist and never met a stranger. A faithful husband, devoted son and loving father and grandfather are just a few ways in which his memory will be cherished.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Smith Cemetery in the Rosebloom Community of Tallahatchie County with Rev. Jerry Hatcher officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery 30 minutes prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Scheafer; mother, Eva Collins Scheafer of Grenada; daughter, Stephanie Garcia(Oryan) of Grenada; son, Jordon Scheafer(Amanda) of Grenada; brother, John R. Scheafer, Jr.(Lynn) of Coldwater and six grandchildren, Bryan Barrow, Bryce Barrow, Kayden Garcia, Charlee Grace Garcia, Hayden Scheafer and Hudson Scheafer.
He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Joseph Brett Barrow.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
