Ms. Candace Danielle Sasser, 39, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada with her family at her side.  She was born July 12, 1985 in Tupelo.  Candace was a graduate of Holmes Community College and the City of Grenada Law Enforcement Training Academy Class 003.  She was a Deputy Clerk in the Grenada County Justice Court System and also served as a Reserve Deputy with the Grenada County Sheriff's Department.  Candace will long be remembered as a friendly face at Jake & Rip's, as she had been part of the Jake & Rip's family for over 20 years.  Candace attended Providence Baptist Church with her family and was a deeply devoted mother to her children.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2025 at Providence Baptist Church with Dr. Joey Faulk and Bro. Ricky Williamson, II officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service Monday evening at Providence Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved sons, Stephen Dakota Jenkins and Jackson Hammond Jenkins, both of Grenada; mother and step-father, Deborah and Buddy Davis of Grenada; fiancé, Brad Eldridge of Grenada; sisters, Angela Abby(Jim) of Florence, Candy Rains(Kenneth) of Cordova, TN, Tammy Comfort(Mike) of Hattiesburg, Melanie Luckett(John) of Olive Branch, Rachael Ledford(Christopher) of Rutherfordton, NC and Sarah Steen(Benjamin) of Byram; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Candace was welcomed into Heaven by her father, Hammond Aaron Sasser and her grandparents, Rossie and Allie Broome.

Members of the Grenada County Sheriff's Department, the Judges and staff of the Grenada County Justice Court as well as her work family at Jake & Rip's will serve as honorary pallbearers.
