Mr. Percy Carl Daves, 77, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. He was born October 18, 1940 in Carroll County to Percy Alexander and Lucille Loden Daves. He was a farmer, a retired rural carrier with the United States Postal Service and formerly owned a construction business. He was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in the Jefferson Community of Carroll County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his son, Stacy Daves and his wife, Stacy of Carrollton; one granddaughter, Alyssa Daves of Carrollton; one grandson, Ty Daves of Carrollton; two sisters, Ann Harper and her husband, Charles of Holcomb and Ruth Lay Lummus of Money; and one brother, James Coleman Daves of Holcomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rachel McCalop Daves.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
