Mrs. Carolyn Jane Wilson Bannon, 82, of Grenada, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Dominic – Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born May 15, 1935 in Jonesboro, AR to Frank Curtis and Blanche Moselle Wilson. Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church – Grenada and retired after teaching for 33 years in the Grenada School District.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. John Boler and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Joe Bannon of Grenada; one daughter, Christina Jane Hofrichter-Dietrich (Glenn) of Glen Allen, VA; one son, Tony Bannon (Kennon) of Bristol, WI; and six grandchildren, Cara Jane Hofrichter, Jenna Marie Hofrichter, Zachary Tullos Bannon, Brantleigh Jo Bannon, Tyler Harmon Bannon and Kayleigh Rae Bannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Frame.
