Ms. Carolyn Jean Purnell Tindall, 76, of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  She was born April 19, 1948 in Reform, AL to Rufus Lyon and Adell Hughes Purnell.  Carolyn enjoyed a career spanning over 29 years at Staplcotn in Greenwood.  She was an active member of Holcomb Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family.  Gardening, tending to her flowers, sewing, cross stitch and reading were among her many hobbies, but she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. David Haggerty officiating.  Interment will follow in the Holcomb Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Tindall Corder(Kevin) of Carrollton and Christy Tindall May(Keith) of Greenwood; son, Jim Tindall, Jr.(Emily) of Grenada; niece(sister), Sandra Darnell of West Point; five grandchildren, Katie Nance(Heath), Alex Killebrew(Kasey), Anna Carol Heigle(Cole) Alden Killebrew(Ali) and Grant May; three great-grandchildren, Rylie, Aubrey and Mary Alice; and her beloved dog, Coco.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marilyn Gwin and Melba Ross and a brother, Virgil Purnell, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Corder, Cole Heigle, Alden Killebrew, Alex Killebrew, Grant May, Keith May and Heath Nance.
