Ms. Casandra Ann Kennedy, 53, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  She was born May 23, 1967 in Jackson to Burnice Alton Kennedy and Peggy Ann Owens Melton.  Casandra worked at Hitt Bonding Company in Grenada and also had an auto detailing business.  She attended the Grenada Church of God.  Casandra was devoted to her family and took great pride in caring for her parents.

A time of remembrance was held Thursday, February 4, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.

Survivors include her life partner, Ellen Jackson; mother, Peggy Melton; grandmother, Marjorie Melton; sisters, Magan Emrick and Valerie Winters; brother, James Alton Kennedy; godchild, Kayla Marie Knowles; grandchildren, Bentley Jackson, Christopher Jackson and Madilyn Knowles; nieces and nephews, Jada Glenn, Cecilea Jones, Curtis Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, Belle Kennedy, Taylor Heinick, James Jones, Savannah Heenan, Austin Heenan and Buddy Starnes.

She was preceded in death by her father, Burnice Alton Kennedy and step-father, Cecil Melton.
