Catherine Messina Gardello Hass, 84, passed away at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House on February 8, 2022. She was the registrar at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing for 25 years and graduation analyst at Southwest Tennessee Community College for 16 years. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN.

She is survived by her four children, Teresa Gardello Lackie (Joe), James V.Gardello III, Joseph A. Gardello, and John Paul Gardello. A sister-in-law Betty Gardello Trahan and a stepdaughter Andrea Vallier; three grandchildren Melanie A. Lackie, Thomas A. Lackie and Michael Austin Gardello. Three sisters, Mary Comella of Memphis, Rosa Mardis Buzzarde (Dan) and Sarah Criss and one brother, Dr. Joe S. Messina, Jr. (Cheri) of Grenada and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Was preceded in death by James V. Gardello, Jr., her husband, Stanley Hass, her father Joe S. Messina, Sr., her mother Concettina S. Messina and one stepdaughter Sharon Hass.

Services will be held Thursday February 17, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church 6529 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134. A Rosary will begin at 9:30 am, Visitation 10:00 am and Funeral Mass 11:00 am. Entombment to follow in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery 1663 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106.
