Mr. Cecil Melton, 76, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his residence.  He was born October 21, 1943 in Grenada to Pete and Marjorie Mae Tartt Melton.  He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Grenada Church of God.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Grenada Church of God with Rev. James McElroy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Rosebloom.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at McKibben and Guinn and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Melton; his mother, Marjorie Melton of Grenada; seven daughters, Kay Starnes(Daley) of Corinth, Judy Armstrong(Michael) of Columbus, Lois Doss of Chicago, IL, Magan Emrick (Russell) of Grenada, Casandra Kennedy of Grenada, Jada Glenn(Tate) of Gore Springs and Ellen Jackson of Grenada; two sons, Jerry Glen Melton(Kim) of Coldwater and James Alton Kennedy of Grenada; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Melton and a sister, Frances Pearl Melton.
