Charles Steve Ayers, 79, of Carrollton passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1940 in Carroll County to Sam & Sarah Vance Ayers. He was member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was an auctioneer and real estate broker for over twenty years and an Air Force Veteran.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Survivors include his wife, Elsa Ayers, one son Sam Allen Ayers (Kim) of Carrollton, one step-grandson Joshua McNatt of Biloxi, two sisters Sammie Allen and Sandra Wilbourn both of Grenada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Countiss Whitfield and one brother George Douglas Ayers.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Allen, Will Allen, Bruce Brannon, Mike Lee, Keith Mitchell and Scooter Shields.
