Mr. Charles Ray Caffey, 91, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Providence Assisted Living.  He was born September 2, 1929 in Rosedale to Robert Ray and Georgia Wright Caffey.  Mr. Caffey honorably served our country in the US Navy.  He retired from the U.S. Civil Service after working many years at Keesler Air Force Base.  He also was a school teacher and worked in the Grenada School System in the Adult Literacy Program.  He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed being active in the efforts of the Grenada Food Pantry, Grenada Lions Club and the Gideons.

In accordance with his wishes, a private family memorial service will be held.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Caffey Meadows of Navarre Beach, FL and Connie Bell of Madison; four grandchildren, Leeanna Meadows, Jesse Meadows Holly, David Meadows and Zachary Bell and one great-grandchild, Hayden Bell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Daisy Caffey and a brother, Julian Caffey.
