Mr. Charles Herbert Dawkins, 83, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1934 in Coffeeville to Michael Harmon and Pearl Mae Wilbourn Dawkins.  He retired as Distribution Manager at Heatcraft in Grenada after having worked there for over 30 years.  Charles was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Coffeeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his daughter, Page Dawkins Coppage and her husband, Taylor of Greenwood; son, Michael Dawkins and his wife, Maria of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Mason Carney, Mackenzie Carney, Drew Logan, Gabby Dawkins, Gabriel Wilson, Liya Wilson and Lily Grace Coppage; and two great-grandchildren, Landon and Lainee Logan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Dawkins.
