Mr. James Charles Morgan, 77, of Grenada, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 12, 1941 in Tallahatchie County to James Lee and Viola Jones Morgan. Charles retired as a group leader at Heatcraft in Grenada after working there for many years. He was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served on the Security Team and officiated numerous Upwards Basketball games. Charles had previously served as Constable in Grenada County for 12 years. He was an avid gardener and deer hunter and will be remembered for his many years of involvement in coaching and umpiring baseball.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada with Dr. Bob Self and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Norma Morgan; two sons, Lee Morgan and Lyle Morgan, both of Oxford; one sister, Peggy Morgan Little(Earl) of Southaven and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
