Christopher Alan Blake

May 10, 1966 – February 8, 2026

Christopher Alan Blake was born on May 10, 1966, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. From the very beginning, he carried a presence that filled a room - bright red hair, deep dimples, and a smile that could light up the darkest places.
Chris was gifted and determined from the time he was young. An award-winning childhood artist whose work was once displayed in an Arkansas art museum, he proved early that creativity and excellence was deeply a part of who he was. When life presented challenges, Chris met each one head-on with strength and perseverance. Told "you can't" more times than he could count, he made it his mission to prove that he could - and he did.
Raised working alongside his grandfather on the farm, Chris developed the grit and work ethic that would define his life. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor. He traveled the world aboard C-130 aircrafts and became an accomplished jet mechanic, mastering his craft with precision and pride.
Following his military service, Chris continued working with his hands and heart. As a diesel mechanic, he became known as one of the best in Mississippi. When asked what he did for a living, he would smile and say, "I turn wrenches." Affectionately called her "grease monkey" by his beloved wife, he wore the title with honor and a smile.
In his 40s, Chris achieved his 5th Degree Black Belt and became a respected Martial Arts instructor known as Sensei Blake. His discipline, leadership, and mentorship shaped countless students. His patience and care showed them how to grow up to be amazing men and women.
Music was the thread God used to lead Chris to his greatest earthly gift — the love of his life, Stacy. After years of hardship, Chris found the love he had longed for. On a Friday the 13th, he asked her out. Three months later he asked, "Will you be my girl forever?" She and the entire family said yes. Their love and respect for him was deep.
Together they built a life rooted in faith, laughter, music, and ministry. They founded Sunshine Entertainment, where he became known as "Mr. Sunshine," bringing joy as a DJ and sound engineer. In 2019, they birthed Fresh Oil Ministries and were ordained ministers in 2022. Chris lived his faith boldly and without apology. His greatest desire was that others know Jesus as he did. He credited his wife for showing him the Lord when no one else would. "She gave me something real, something I needed. Jesus." Chris said. He would talk about his Savior to anyone who would listen.
His friends revered him and he loved them more than they knew.
Of all his accomplishments, Chris treasured being a Husband, Dad, Poppie, and PopPop. He poured wisdom into his sons and grandchildren — teaching them to turn wrenches, tying his son's ties for cotillion, dancing in the kitchen with his girl so they could see his love for their mama, grilling masterpieces, creating art, always giving of himself to others, teaching them to laugh, and building dreams.
Christopher Alan Blake leaves behind a legacy of strength, creativity, faith, and fierce love that will always be found in his children, grandchildren and wife. He was adored by many and will never be forgotten.
If you knew him, you were blessed. If you didn't, you missed something extraordinary.
Chris Alan, as Stacy called him, saw the beautiful face of Jesus on February 8, 2026 and is now fully healed in His wonderful presence.
He leaves his legacy with his wife Stacy Lyn Blake. His children Evan McClain, Zach McClain (Jennifer), Hayz McClain (Skylar) and Drew Blake all of Grenada. His pride and joy, his grandchildren, Malori Grace McClain, Rylan Hodges, Adalyn Ingram, Alysa McClain, Aleya McClain, Kaysen McClain, Kalie Ruth McClain, Bowen Hayz McClain and one sweet angel on the way. A sister-in-love, Peggy Greenhaw and Riley Cuneo, who was like a son to him. His dog Sunny Girl, His buddy Bruno and his precious kitten, Princess. Along with a huge family and group of phenomenal friends that will miss him tremendously .
