IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Claude Allen
Hughes
September 10, 1944 – December 25, 2021
In the early morning hours of Christmas Day, December 25, 2021, Mr. Claude Allen Hughes, 77, of Coffeeville, joined the Heavenly Choir that he had longed to harmonize with all of his life. Claude Allen was born September 10, 1944 in Coffeeville to Claude Garnet and Katie Shaw Hughes. He was a Master Electrician & Plumber and had worked as a self-employed contractor most of his working life. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church where he had faithfully served as Music Director and had also previously served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church – Coffeeville. An accomplished musician, Claude Allen spent many hours writing and producing music at the Hardy Station studio. His love of music and love of the Lord poured out from him and he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. While our hearts are hurting, we find comfort in knowing he has met his Savior face to face.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Elam Baptist Church near Coffeeville with Rev. David Poynor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 12:30 until service time Saturday at the church.
