Mr. Clyde Eugene Shaw passed away peacefully at his home in Coffeeville on February 5, 2016 at the age of 81.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his siblings Mildred Respess of Lambert, MS and Malcolm Shaw of Coffeeville, as well as a host of adoring nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Jeri (Bishop) and siblings Edwin, Gillespie, Jerry, Wesley and Judy.
Mr. Shaw was born on December 26, 1934 in Yalobusha Co. He graduated from Coffeeville High School, and after serving in the army (stationed in Alaska) he entered and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in agriculture. A short initial foray into agricultural chemical sales evolved into his true calling of being a farmer. He and his wife Jeri made the perfect team as they farmed traditional row crops, as well as hogs and cattle for five decades in Yalobusha Co.
He will be remembered as the benchmark for "Doing the Right Thing" by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him in this, our short time on Earth.
A graveside service will be held at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery on Saturday, February 13th at 2 PM.
