Mr. Danny Ray Austin, 69, of Tillatoba, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born December 29, 1949 in Calhoun County to Edward and Christine Welker Austin. Danny was a retired shop foreman with Lehman Roberts and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Rickey Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Austin Family Cemetery near Tillatoba. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday evening and one hour prior to the service Monday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Libby Doles Austin; one daughter, Cricket Henson(David) of Grenada; four grandchildren, Hunter Rutland(Gina), Jordan Rutland, Logan Henson and Haygen Austin; two great-grandchildren, Miranda Kate Rutland and Amy Rae Rutland; one sister, Jewel Robinson of New Albany; one brother, Jackie Austin(Joyce) of Artesia and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darrell Wayne Austin; sister, Eloise Morgan; and a brother, Joe Ed Austin.

Pallbearers will be Haygen Austin, David Henson, Logan Henson, Michael Hipp, Jamie Pruett, Justin Rowland and Hunter Rutland.
